Content Creators
LoopMessage helps content creators, influencers, artists, educators, and online personalities communicate directly with their audiences through iMessage, SMS/RCS, and WhatsApp.
Whether you want to build stronger relationships with your fans, offer a direct way to contact you, or sell exclusive digital content, LoopMessage provides the tools to manage these interactions without sharing your personal phone number.
You can use LoopMessage as a second phone number dedicated to your audience and take advantage of our Paid Content feature to monetize digital content directly through messaging.
Instead of relying exclusively on social media comments, direct messages, or third-party creator platforms, you can establish a more personal communication channel where fans can contact you, ask questions, and purchase content.
1. Use LoopMessage as your second phone number
As a content creator, you may want to give your followers a way to contact you directly without exposing your personal phone number. It’s allows you to obtain a dedicated phone number that you can use as your public contact for fan communications.
You can share this number on:
- Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media profiles.
- Your personal website or landing page.
- Your Link-in-bio page.
- Newsletters and community pages.
- Digital business cards and promotional materials.
Your followers can use the supported messaging channels to contact you through a familiar messaging application.
Keep your personal number private
One of the biggest advantages of using a dedicated second number is separating your personal communications from your public creator identity. Instead of publishing the number you use for family, friends, and other private matters, you can provide fans with a dedicated contact number. This gives you a consistent public identity while keeping your personal phone number out of your social media profiles.
Communicate across multiple messaging platforms
Depending on your sender configuration, your dedicated number can support several messaging channels:
- iMessage: Communicate with Apple users through their native Messages application.
- SMS/RCS: Reach users through compatible SMS and RCS messaging applications, including Google Messages.
- WhatsApp: Connect with fans who prefer communicating through WhatsApp.
Optional SMS/RCS fallback can help maintain messaging availability when iMessage is not available.
You can also configure call forwarding for eligible phone-number senders if you want incoming cellular calls forwarded to another number.
These capabilities depend on the channels and add-ons enabled for your dedicated sender.
Why we recommend a Dedicated Sender
For content creators, we generally recommend using a Dedicated Sender rather than a Shared Sender.
With a Dedicated Sender, a specific sender identity and its infrastructure are allocated to you.
This provides a consistent number that your fans can recognize, save to their contacts, and use for future conversations.
Shared Senders are designed for different use cases and do not guarantee a unique, permanent phone number for every organization and your fans.

2. Make it easy for fans to start a conversation
The easiest way to grow your messaging audience is to encourage fans to contact you first. You can place a link or button on your social media profile, website, or Link-in-bio page.
For example:
Want to chat? Send me a message!
Or:
Get exclusive updates directly in iMessage!
Option 1: Share your messaging link
You can create a direct link that opens a supported messaging application and prepares a conversation with your sender. For example, a fan visiting your profile can tap a link and open the Messages app with your sender already selected. You can also pre-fill the initial message to make the process even easier.

Option 2: Use LoopMessage Sign-up Forms
If you want to collect additional information about your audience, you can use our Sign-up Forms.
For example, you might offer:
Join my VIP list to receive exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes content, and early access to new releases!
Your fans can provide their details, choose an available messaging channel, and send a pre-filled opt-in message. LoopMessage can then match their incoming message with the submitted form information. This allows you to build a more organized audience and personalize future communications.
Option 3: Integrate the Opt-in API
If you already have a custom website or creator platform, you can use the Opt-in API. It allows you to integrate messaging opt-ins into your existing registration, membership, or audience engagement flows. Your application can generate unique opt-in links, associate them with fan profiles, and process completed opt-ins through webhooks.
Why customer-initiated conversations matter: When fans send the first message, you can respond without the sending interval normally required to initiate a new conversation. This is especially useful when many followers contact you after a new video, livestream, or announcement.
3. Monetize your content with Paid Content
One of the most valuable features for creators is Paid Content.
Paid Content allows you to sell access to digital files directly through a payment link that you can share in a conversation. Instead of manually collecting payments and sending files afterward, you can create an offer with a configured price and let the payment flow unlock access after successful payment.
What can you sell?
Paid Content is particularly useful for creators selling digital products such as:
- Exclusive photos and videos: Behind-the-scenes material, premium photo collections, and bonus videos.
- Audio content: Exclusive podcast episodes, music, recordings, or audio lessons.
- Educational resources: Tutorials, courses, study materials, and training guides.
- Digital downloads: Presets, templates, design files, digital artwork, and other downloadable products.
- Content bundles: Multiple files sold together as a single package.
For example, a photographer might sell an exclusive editing preset collection, while a musician could offer early access to a new recording. A creator who publishes educational videos might sell supplemental guides or downloadable lessons directly to interested viewers.
How does Paid Content work?
The process is straightforward.
Step 1: Prepare your content
Upload the files you want to sell to your own storage service, CDN, or another location where they can be accessed through file URLs. LoopMessage does not host these files for you. Instead, Paid Content manages the payment flow and the links that become available after payment.
Step 2: Create a Paid Content item
In the LoopMessage Dashboard, create a Content item and configure:
- Content name.
- One or more file links.
- Price and currency.
- Payment method.
- Optional expiration date.
- Optional support link.
Step 3: Choose your payment method
Paid Content supports several payment configurations:
- Stripe: Accept payments using a connected Stripe payment configuration.
- IFrame: Display your own payment page within the payment flow.
- Custom: Integrate your own payment processing logic using the API.
With Stripe, LoopMessage handles payment creation and verification for the supported payment flow. For custom payment integrations, your backend must confirm the payment and update the content status through the API.
Step 4: Share the payment link
Once your Content item is created, LoopMessage generates a payment URL. You can share this URL with an interested fan during an established conversation.
Step 5: The fan completes payment
The fan opens the payment page and completes the configured payment process. Before payment, the file links remain hidden by the Paid Content page. Once payment is confirmed, the available content links are unlocked and shown to the recipient.
Step 6: The fan accesses the content
The fan can open the unlocked links and access the files you have provided. You can also configure an expiration date for the Content item if you want the payment offer to be available only for a limited time.

Example: Selling exclusive content through a conversation
Imagine you’re a photographer with an audience on Instagram.
You share a public contact link in your Instagram bio or phone number issue by LoopMessage.
A fan opens the link and sends you a message:
- Fan: “Hey! I love your photography. Do you have any tutorials on how you edit your photos?”
- You: “Thank you! I actually put together a collection of my favorite editing techniques and presets. Would you like to check it out?”
- Fan: “Yes! That sounds great.”
- You: “Awesome! Here’s my editing pack. It includes the presets and a step-by-step tutorial. You can access everything here: [Paid Content link]”
The fan opens the link, completes the payment, and gets access to the content. This approach combines personal communication and digital product sales within a single conversation. Instead of sending visitors through several different platforms, you can answer their questions and offer relevant content through the messaging application they already use.
4. Why selling content through messaging can be effective
Build a closer relationship with your audience
Traditional content platforms are excellent for reaching large audiences, but interactions are often limited to comments, likes, and public posts. Private messaging creates an opportunity for more direct, personal communication. Your fans can ask questions, provide feedback, and interact with you more naturally. This can help build a stronger relationship with the people most interested in your work.
Turn conversations into sales opportunities
When someone contacts you to ask about your work, you already have an indication of their interests. Instead of presenting every visitor with the same offer, you can recommend content that matches what they’re looking for. For example, a fan asking about your photography workflow might be interested in your editing presets, while someone asking about camera techniques might prefer a tutorial. This conversational approach allows you to provide context, answer questions, and offer a relevant paid product.
Monetize individual pieces of content
Paid Content provides a straightforward way to sell individual digital products or bundles. You can create different offers for different types of content, with their own prices and payment URLs.
For example:
- Exclusive photo collection — $4.99
- Behind-the-scenes video — $9.99
- Complete tutorial bundle — $19.99
These are illustrative prices; you decide how to price your content. The feature is designed around paid access to individual Content items. It is not, by itself, a recurring subscription or membership management system.
Maintain control over your content storage
Your files remain hosted on infrastructure or storage that you choose. LoopMessage manages the payment workflow and the release of file links after the payment has been confirmed. This gives you flexibility over where your content is stored and how it is organized.
Important: Paid Content controls when file URLs are revealed, but it does not provide digital rights management (DRM). Anyone who obtains a directly accessible file URL may be able to open or share it. For content requiring stronger protection, use appropriate access controls, such as private storage with signed or time-limited URLs.
Reduce manual work
Without payment automation, selling content through direct messages can require multiple manual steps: answering questions, collecting payments, confirming transactions, and delivering files. Paid Content can simplify this process by connecting payment confirmation with access to the content. This is especially useful if you sell multiple digital products or receive purchase requests from fans in different timezones.
5. Additional use cases for creators
It can do more than provide a second number or sell downloadable content.
Exclusive announcements and early access
Invite fans to subscribe to your messaging updates and notify interested followers about new releases, upcoming livestreams, or exclusive offers.
For example:
Hey Alex! I’m releasing a new video tomorrow, and I wanted to give my subscribers an early preview. Want to see it?
This approach works best when the fan has explicitly opted in to receive the relevant updates.
Personalized fan interactions
Use messaging to respond to fan questions, discuss your latest work, or gather feedback.
You can also use supported messaging features such as attachments, reactions, and voice messages to make conversations more engaging.
Educational content and digital products
If you’re a teacher, coach, musician, or educational creator, you can use conversations to understand what your audience wants to learn.
You might share free advice and then offer a relevant paid tutorial, guide, or downloadable lesson.
Fan feedback and community engagement
Ask fans for feedback on upcoming content or let them vote informally on what they would like to see next.
For example:
I’m planning my next tutorial. Would you rather see a video about lighting or editing?
These interactions can help you better understand your audience and develop content that reflects their interests.
6. Manage conversations with Inbox or API
You don’t need to build an entire messaging system from scratch to communicate with your audience. LoopMessage provides a ready-to-use Inbox interface for sending and receiving messages. Inbox supports features such as one-to-one conversations, attachments, message reactions, and threads.
It can also be embedded into your own website or application. For more advanced workflows, you can use the LoopMessage API to integrate messaging into your existing tools.
For example, your application could:
- Receive incoming fan messages through webhooks.
- Organize contacts and conversations.
- Generate Paid Content payment links.
- Send personalized replies or relevant follow-ups.
- Connect messaging activity with an external CRM or creator platform.
This allows you to start with simple direct communication and add more automation as your audience grows.
7. Best practices for content creators
Use a dedicated sender. A consistent second phone number is easier for fans to recognize and save.
Make your identity recognizable. Use a recognizable contact name and photo. Consider sharing a vCard so fans can save your contact.
Encourage fans to message you first. Share direct messaging links or use Sign-up Forms to establish customer-initiated conversations.
Keep conversations personal. Address fans by name when appropriate and respond to what they actually ask.
Offer relevant paid content. Avoid sending payment links without context. Explain what the fan will receive and why it may be useful.
Respect messaging permissions. Only send promotional updates when you have appropriate consent, respect opt-out requests, and follow the applicable messaging limits. In particular, unsolicited promotional first messages are not permitted under the Init Conversation rules.
Protect premium files. Use an appropriate content hosting and access-control strategy, especially for files that should not be freely redistributed.
Getting started
For most content creators, we recommend starting with a Dedicated Sender with a phone number.
Share this number or a messaging link on your social media profiles so your fans can contact you without needing your personal number.
Once you begin building an audience, you can use Sign-up Forms to collect opt-ins, Inbox to manage conversations, and Paid Content to sell exclusive digital products.
The biggest advantage is combining direct fan communication, a recognizable public identity, and content monetization within one messaging workflow.
Instead of choosing between building relationships and selling your work, you can do both through conversations with the people who already appreciate what you create.
